It's really been 4 years!

So, July 29th was the 4th Anniversary of our wedding... Since we are living on student loans, we decided to go with homemade gifts... (I'll admit I did use a bit of our grocery budget, but it was just the fruit that we needed for the two weeks worth of shopping that I did! :)
I did the fruit bouquet because online it said that the
traditional 4th anniversary gift is fruit/flowers...
so I combined them into something yummy
that I thought Cam would enjoy.
Plus Addy and I could definitely help take care of the leftovers! :)
Cameron made this super cute little figurine that shows our family...
He even made me look pregnant! :) Those are skills!
The preamble to this story is that we wanted to go to the temple, so we'd called Daren Jensen to see if he and Alison could watch sleeping Addy while we were out. He agreed but Alison wasn't feeling good so he came by himself. When he got here, he found me with meat thawing and potatoes ready to be mashed and a little stressed out because of some miscommunications about the night's schedule. Anyway, so I got Addy to bed, slipped my skirt on and went to pick Cam up and we had a good time at the temple. Daren, seeing a need, decided to fill it. He had dinner hot and ready with a sentsy candle lit by the time we got home...
He'd even done a 'bloomin' onion (to go with the whole fruit/flowers 4th anniversary theme) which I had casually asked if he knew how to do. (I'd been craving one for days... but had never been brave enough to try it out by myself.)

It was one of those little tender mercies in that we got to bed much earlier than if I would have needed to cook everything when we got home. We're sure lucky to have great friends in our lives!
