Addy and I are just getting done enjoying a good two weeks worth of Spring Break fun! It started out with Jamie's family coming to town the weekend their Spring Break started! We had fun going to parks Friday and Saturday, then hit up church Sunday. Monday, Cameron had to go back to school, so I hitched a ride with the Petersons to go check out the San Antonio Children's Museum! Addy wasn't feeling very good, so she was a little grouchy, but still had a good time!
'Riding' the milk cow (She didn't get on it, cause I was holding her...
because the sign on the cows neck says, "Do not climb on the cow" :) |
Shopping in 'HEB' |
Hanging out in a mini chuck wagon... |
Catching the falling balls |
Talking on the phone |
Playing the pipe organ |
Playing with the bubbles |
Chasing the fishies |
Even though Addy's grouchiness turned into a fever that really made Addy not feel well, we had one last hurrah with the Petersons at Chuck-E-Cheese... Addy was barely functional, but we managed to use a full $2 worth of tokens.
Not even a princess carriage with pretty horses could get her to smile... |
She loved whacking the buttons |
The closest she got to a smile |
This was her favorite ride! It was of course out of order, but she just played with the steering wheel :) |
After a couple of days for Addy to recuperate and finally get rid of that fever, we decided to go shoot some picts in some bluebonnets! Becca was the wonderful photographer!
Typical Addy face... Figuring out what's going on or just stone-facing despite all efforts to make her laugh/smile :) |
She finally smiled just once! Good thing Becca's quick! See her new molars and other teeth! |
The end of the previous smile... just enjoying being outside... |
But when a princess is done, she's done! |
Well, after that weekend, Cam, Addy and I headed up to Enchanted Rock for Addy's first overnight camping trip! It was a great way to start Cam's Spring Break weekend!
Addy and I supervised while... |
Cameron hung the hammock! |
Then everyone jumped on for a swing! |
After a 'dirt-dipped' snack, ... |
we headed up Enchanted Rock! |
After some tough climbing and lifting, |
Adelaide was ready to stretch her legs, so she grabbed a string cheese and chased after the hawks that were circling high overhead. (She loves pointing out birds!) |
Her string cheese ended up with some extra minerals :) |
We headed down the rock on a trail less traveled! |
It's always good to have a fresh apple to eat en-route.
It keeps a body hydrated and energized! |
We had to tighten our laces, (and make sure Addy
was comfortable facing backwards) so that |
she could lead the way down |
and find a comfy rock to sit on. |
Hanging out on rocks is always more fun if you have someone to hang out with! |
We got down and then headed up the other side, |
Addy had a fun time climbing up the trail, but soon her little legs were tired so it was back in the pack. |
We made it to the top of Little Rock, |
found some little onion-y emergency food, |
and even did some back stretches before heading back to camp. |
Dinner was amazing tinfoil dinners and after two lost apples, |
we finally had one of our roasted apple
to stay on long enough for... |
both of us to enjoy a few bites! |
Addy had an exciting night, switching up who
she was rolling around on... |
but she spent the majority of the night with me. |
| |
Which, as you can tell, had some after-effects on the way home :) |
After getting home on Tues, Cam headed to North Carolina for Wed & Thurs. Addy and I had fun here and then we've all just had a quiet rest of the week and weekend...
We needed some time to catch up on sleep!
